Sunny all day for our trip to the ferry in Plymouth
Not going to a track this year. We are touring Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Austria, Germany.
Arrived at ferry in Plymouth
Arrived in Spain to lovely sun shine. Forgot to take off winter lining. Quickly changed that! Headed towards Saint Sebastian
All of a sudden the speedo stopped working! I thought “that’s will be a pain for a week travelling, oh well”. Then the engine stopped and when I pressed the starter nothing happened. Oh dear. Luckily it stopped next to a car park of a hotel.
Long story short I thought it would be the battery so to prove it we put my brothers battery on my bike to test. It started fine so it was the battery. This happened at 8pm so all the garages we’re closed.
We decided to chain the bike to a lap post and continue on to the hotel on the one bike.
It was dark when we got to Saint Sebastian and we had a little trouble finding the house. Went up a private road which was very narrow. We had some trouble turning around which made us both laugh so hard!
Quiet often it seems you have the most fun when you are out of your comfort zone.
Day three Saint Sebastian to Jaca
So after and ok night sleep and some lovely breakfast we set off into town to the local Yamaha garage. Only a couple of km away. Luckily they had the right battery and they even charged it for me.
When we got back to the bike we were glad to see it hadn’t be stolen or towed away.
Fitted the battery in no time and bake started as expected
Cut the planed route short as we no longer had the time. Found some loverly roads with hardly anyone on them.
We were able to cruise at some nice speeds with the occasional blip up to naughty speeds. It was nice to cruise for so long with out breaks
When we got into the mountains we came across this dam out of the blue
Quick call of nature and off we go again
The loverly roads continue and we made good time into Jaca. As we missed tea last night and only stopped for a snack at lunch today we should be tucking into a good meal tonight.
Chalet is compact and bejue with as much cold running water as you want.
